Igor Gennadievich Sizov was born on October, 4th, 1965.
In 1987 he graduated from the East Siberian Institute of Technology.
After graduation he has been directed for one year training to the chair
for «Metallurgical science and thermal processing of metals» of Moscow Institute
of Instrument Making. After training he was enrolled in the postgraduate
study of the above-named institute.
In 1991 he was honored with the diploma of the Exhibition of Achievements
in the National Economy of the USSR for work in the field of thermal
processing of tool steels.
In 1992 he defended his dissertation in a specialty
05.02.01"Materials technology in mechanical engineering» at Moscow Institute of Instrument Making
From 1992 till 2000 he worked at the chair for
«Metallurgical science and technologies of processing of materials»
of East Siberian State Technological University.
From 2000 till 2002 I.G. Sizov was the doctoral candidate
of the chair "Materials technology" of the MSTU named after N.E. Bauman.
In 2003 he has defended his dissertation and received degree
of Dr.Sci.Tech. in specialty 05.16.01"Metallurgical science and thermal processing of metals».
Since 2004 he has worked as professor and head of the chair
“Metallurgical science and technologies of processing
of materials” of East Siberian State Technological University.
In 2007 Igor Genadievich was appointed to the post of vice-rector in scientific work of ESSUTM.
He is
a full member of the Association of Metallurgists of Russia (1996),
a member of dissertational council, the winner of the international grant
within the program "Michael Lomonosov" (Russia-Germany, 2006), the international
grant of DAAD (Germany, 2008).
By results of scientific researches it has been published more than 80 works
including 13 articles in reviewed editions: «Metallurgical science and thermal processing of metals»,
«Physics and chemistry of processing of materials», «the Bulletin of MSTU named after N.E. Bauman»,
«Technology of metals», «Surface. X-ray, synchrotron and neutron researches»,
«Inorganic materials», Journal of Alloys and Compounds.
He is author of 3 patents of the Russian Federation and one
certificate for official registration of a computer program.
